When We Presented the School Assembly.

It was a while ago now, but we still remember how we felt.

On Friday the 4 of March the whole school watched us do the first assembly. It was exciting. I was happy. After we sang we showed our terrific pictures and the whole school loved them. The whole school went wow! It made me feel special inside...TC

...We showed our art to the whole school. I was scared in front of the people...TM

On Friday room 19 were on the stage. I was very nervous...KR

...When I spoke in the microphone I was super scared, but when I sat back down I felt super fantastic...It was so cool because my mum was watching me...AS

...At the start I was kind of nervous...Then I felt proud of myself...GB

On Friday room 19 had school assembly. It was rocking because we showed our brilliant pictures.JM

We had to listen to Mr T and look at him. We did not talk and we were not going to sleep...I was happy when I was looking down at my mummy, Nana and Emily. I was proud when I saw Emily doing a happy face to me.AH

When the weather gets a bit cooler in the mornings, we can't wait to warm up with our walrus friend.

Buddy Reading with Room 22

Buddy reading is really fun.On Wednesday we do buddy reading with room 22. Room 22 says that we are good readers. I like reading with my buddy. TC. J.G. We learn new words together. I like teaching my buddy BR. Room 22 says their buddies are awesome. Miss Lowans says, as well as buddy reading we are looking forward to buddy blogging, buddy games and maybe buddy art/craft.

Middle School Swimming Carnival

Last Friday we held our Annual swimming carnival. Lots of fun was had by all. Even though Wayne, our swimming coach told us not to smile, not to have fun or not to get wet, we just couldn't help ourselves! Check out Mr Hayward's new toy.

Coin Trail for Christchurch

On Monday the 28 February when we dressed in red and black to show our support for Canterbury, we also brought in donations to make a coin trail. We raised $3,104.80. All this money will go towards helping Christchurch. Well done Botany Downs, you are the BEST!

Christchurch earthquake

Last Friday our whole school dressed in red and black in support of the recent devastating Christchurch earthquake.
