Congratulations Room 19

Well done to all the children in room 19. You have all worked very hard during your first term as Year 3's.

We have all been busy improving our math, writing, and reading skills. We have learnt more about ourselves and how to keep ourselves safe. Many highlights this term have been presenting and leading the school assembly, getting to know and work with our buddy class room 22, setting up and showing our work on our blog, meeting new friends, baking, and just being curious about the world around us.

We're all going on holiday to have a well earned rest.

ANZAC DAY

Anzac day is remembered every year in New Zealand on the 25th of April. ANZAC means Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. We will remember our soldiers who fought and died. As well as ANZAC activities we made Anzac biscuits and remembered what our soldiers might have eaten while they were away.

Some More Easter Fun...

Our buddy class came over to help us make some Easter cards. Thank you room 22, and Happy Easter!

Our visit from Constable White.

Constable White came to talk to us about keeping ourselves safe. We learned about some ways we can do this and what to say and do if we are in an uncomfortable or confusing situation. Thank you Constable White for helping us to keep ourselves safe!

My story about been out with mum. I was really tired. I was looking at something and when I looked up, mum was gone.

I was terrified because I had never been alone before! I looked everywhere but I could not find her. I was really scared because I thought someone would steal me. Then I went outside but she wasn't there. I started to cry, then mum came from a different shop. CD

I was starting to feel scared and worried. I looked up and down the aisles but I couldn't find her. So I went to the counter at the front and she helped me. After the lady at the counter called mum, I heard mum calling for me. Then I found her and we hugged each other. JCn

I was angry then! I got hungry. I was looking for mum. I was running around. I looked in every room but she was not there. I ran all over, I looked everywhere. I was sad. Suddenly, I heard my mum. I ran to her as fast as I could. I came to her and I hugged her. DN

I am writing a story about a time I felt scared

My heart was pounding in my chest. I was scared stiff when I was going to Kelly Tarlton's. I went swimming in the tank. I don't know if I'm going to do it. I don't know if I can go in. I can't go. Mummy and Jason and Emily came to watch. I was in the tank! I saw a shark...AH

My heart was pounding in my chest. I was scared stiff that they were going to find me. Me and my friend were playing hide 'n' seek. When they found me, I screamed! When they found me I screamed and cried. I hate it when I scream. I had goosebumps. KR
